Spain Wins the Trophy…South Africa Wins the World

Spain is the rightful owner of the Jules Rimet Trophy, after their nerve wracking victory over the pugnacious Netherlanders, but while Spain wins the trophy, South Africa wins the World.
From nearly all accounts, this was a joyous, thrilling event, something in which the host nation vastly exceeded expectations. Their month-long football feast has drawn nothing but accolades from everyone who has bothered to voice an opinion.
